Hull: Tourism, shopping and much more!
Kingston upon Hull (Hull for short) is a port city and unitary authority located in England’s East Riding of Yorkshire. The city is about 40 km inland from the North Sea and driving to London will take you in a southern direction for about 4 hours.
The climate of Hull is described as maritime, as the region’s weather is quite mild for its latitude thanks to the Gulf Stream’s warming influence. And anybody who’s somewhat familiar with the city will know all too well that it’s also home to the Hull FC (Football Club), a professional rugby league football club which was established way back in 1865.
In terms of tourist attractions, Hull has quite the selection in store, including one of the most eye-catching aquariums on the planet. The Deep is home to more than 5000 animals (including sharks and sawfish), a colony of Gentoo penguins, plus an evening restaurant for those who want dinner and a show.
And for those who seek a more artistic way to pass the time, Ferens Art Gallery awaits with its sublime artwork collection (including works by European Old Masters, Marine paintings, 20th century British art, and more).
But if it’s shopping malls you’re after, Hull has some amazing options to explore…
