Decathlon holds an annual innovation award ceremony.
A bottle with which you can drink water and energy drinks at the same time was winner at the Decathlon Innovation Awards 2015. Second prize was awarded to the inventors of the tent that shields you from sunlight. And third place went to a pair of swimming goggles under which you are able to wear your own glasses.
Other innovations of 2015 include a device that allows children and adults used the same scooter, an invention that transforms any desktop into a place to play pool, a special liquid that can quickly repair any punctured ball, a shirt that monitors your heart rate and links to a fitness program online.
Teams of designers associated with brands sold in the chain (Quechua, Simond and Wed'ze) compete to create the best product. The winners are presented with their prizes at a big party hosting employees, journalists and customers. The event is organized in the new Decathlon Design Centre in the French town of Passy, where you can enjoy magnificent views of Mont Blanc.
