Coventry is the second largest city in the West Midlands and a true hub for culture and entertainment in the area. The city boasts two universities; the University of Warwick and Coventry University, as well as the famous Coventry Cathedral. Coventry has a fantastic cultural and entertainment scene alongside a great selection of hotels and free attractions. The Coventry Jazz Festival is at the forefront of international jazz in the UK and the annual free Godiva Festvial celebrates one of the city’s most famous (and most naked) residents with a weekend long program of music and events.
For the shopaholics in this little city there is plenty on offer, with two shopping centres and an eclectic selection of shops and boutiques. The West Orchards Shopping Centre hosts top high street stores such as M&S, Debenhams and Next. One quarter of the shopping in Coventry is found in the Lower Precinct Shopping Centre which is home to more high street favourites like Lush and H&M. For home decorating enthusiasts, Ikea Coventry is located right in the city centre. A more unique selection can be found on Medieval Spon Street which is home to a variety of quality and niche boutiques as well as a great selection of independent restaurants and cafes.
